Labor Day in 2020 falls on September 7. The federal holiday is observed every year on the first Monday in September. Many offices and businesses are either closed or operating on limited hours, including various food/drink venues.
Here we look at the hours of operation on Labor Day at different restaurant chains across the country.
Amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, many food/drink venues (including all of the restaurants listed below) have implemented various safety measures in compliance with local guidelines to help mitigate the spread of infection.
Some restaurants have reopened their dining rooms, while others may only be offering takout, delivery and curbside pick-up services. Check your local venue to confirm before traveling.

McDonald’s
The burger franchise is open on Labor Day but hours vary by location. Some venues are open 24 hours on a regular day, while others are open from around 6 a.m. to noon local time. Call your local branch for exact hours.
Face coverings have been required at all McDonald’s restaurants in the country from August 1.

Back in late July, the company announced a temporary pause on reopening its dining rooms “to further our efforts to slow the surge in COVID-19 cases and protect restaurant teams and customers.”
“This means we will not approve the reopening of any additional dining rooms. Locally, any dining room roll back decisions should be guided by state and local guidance,” the company noted in a statement.
